Surprising basically no one, a new Assassin's Creed title leaked today called Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Ubisoft, who at this point must have a sheet of paper taped to every desk in the company titled "What to do in case Assassin's Creed Leaks Again" has now just gone ahead and confirmed it.

The new title, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, has a spartan helmet in the logo. The short clip Ubisoft has posted on Twitter shows someone in assassin garb being kicked off a cliff by a spartan soldier, because spartans.

Both the tweet and the video then simply say "See you at E3."

An Assassin's Creed title was leaked as part of the Wal-Mart Canada retailer misfire a few weeks ago, but it had no subtitle. It turns out to be Assassin's Creed Odyssey, likely named to invoke the ancient Greek epic poem of the same name written by Homer. Between Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Assassin's Creed Origins, the French developer announced that they would be pursuing a two-year development cycle for the series to focus on quality. It is unknown when Odyssey is planned to be released at the moment.

Ubisoft's E3 conference takes place on Monday, June 11 – 1:00 p.m. PT.
