Brett Ratner reportedly is claiming he’s set to direct Rush Hour 4, despite the movie’s producers saying otherwise.

THR reports Ratner is telling associates he’s directing the project, allegedly hoping the fourth film in the action-comedy franchise would be the start of his comeback after he was accused of sexual misconduct several months ago.

According to THR, studio sources have said working with him on another film would be “‘a suicide mission,” following sexual misconduct allegations by several women against Ratner months ago.

“Brett has been walking around town telling people he’s going to direct a Rush Hour movie because it’s his only way back in,” a high-level executive told THR. “He’s trying to make believe he’s employable.”
