Solo: A Star Wars Story has had a huge drop in its second weekend at the domestic box office, earning an estimated $29.3 million.
The Star Wars film dropped 65% this weekend, having debuted at $83.3 million in its opening weekend. Solo has now earned roughly $150 million domestically and $115.3 million internationally, making for a combined global total of $264.2 million.
In comparison, 2016’s Rogue One had an estimated $1.05 billion worldwide total gross, while The Last Jedi ended its box office run with $1.3 billion.
Solo still remained in its first place this weekend, with Deadpool 2 coming in second once again earning $23.3 million. Survival drama Adrift debuted at third with $11.5 million while Avengers: Infinity War dropped down to fourth with $10.3 million. Rounding the top five is Book Club, earning an additional $6.8 million. Meanwhile, action-thriller Upgrade debuted in sixth place with $4.4 million.
