After weeks of speculation, it appears that Nintendo may have just pushed an update through that has confirmed what many have been thinking for quite some time: Fortnite is coming to Nintendo Switch.
Of course, nothing’s concrete just yet, but it certainly seems so. Twitter user SciresM noticed something interesting in a new Nintendo update, which contains a very particular word that you’ll notice at the end of the code: “Fortnite update.” This could only mean one thing: Nintendo’s trolling us. Just kidding. It obviously means we can likely look forward to seeing the battle royale title on the console, if the rumors we’ve been seeing left and right end up being true.

It’s important to note that this very same thing happened with the Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga remake ahead of its official announcement, so this could very well be a legit leak that we’re seeing, this far ahead of the official reveal.
Recently, a Korean rating was spotted for Fortnite on Switch, and then an alleged E3 Nintendo Direct leak was seen out in the wild, listing Fortnite as a possible new release. It remains to be seen if we should believe any of it or not, so take this with a grain of salt, but it certainly looks like Fortnite is, indeed, Switch-bound.
