Ocean’s 8 hit its projected mark and topped the weekend box office with an estimated $41.5 million domestic haul.
This is right on target with expectations after Ocean’s 8 earned $4 million on preview night. The heist movie — which stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Rihanna, among others — reportedly brought in an additional $12.2 million internationally, meaning the global take was $53.7 million.
Speaking of international performance, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom saw a strong start by taking in over $150 million. The sequel doesn’t arrive domestically until June 22.
