The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit will affect the upcoming Life Is Strange 2.
While Captain Spirit is a free standalone experience, it “will link to your Life Is Strange 2 experience,” according to a description of the game on Steam. The connection will come from your choices and actions in Captain Spirit.
Exactly to what extent these choices will carry on to Life Is Strange 2 isn’t currently clear, though the impact that Captain Spirit will have on the anticipated sequel looks to be deeper than initially expected.
The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit was revealed on Microsoft’s stage at E3 2018 and is due out on June 26. Developer DONTNOD previously worked on the five episodes of Life Is Strange that were released throughout 2015, as well as the recently released Vampyr.
