Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima showed off some brand new gameplay at tonight’s Sony E3 conference, revealing new features in the process.

Set during a Mongol Invasion, the gameplay showed off horse riding, some Kurosawa-indebted combat, and a new bow-focused companion, Masako, who quickly becomes an enemy for what seems to be an almost fighting game-like 1-on-1 battle.

Sony previously announced that Ghost of Tsushima would be one of the four main focuses of its E3 presentation, alongside The Last of Us: Part 2, Death Stranding, and Spider-Man.

Ghost of Tsushima was first announced at PSX 2017. Prior to this, developer Sucker Punch released Infamous: Second Son and Infamous: First Light early on in the PlayStation 4’s life cycle. Since then, the studio has been relatively quiet. Sucker Punch made its first game for the Nintendo 64 back in 1999, and then went on to create the Sly Cooper series on the PS2 and Infamous on PS3.
