One of the biggest surprises of E3 2018 was the announcement (and surprise release) of Unravel 2, the sequel to one of the sleeper hits of 2016. The big announcement came during the EA Play press briefing on Saturday before E3 officially kicked off. After the video reveal, the Shacknews street team got the chance to talk with Martin Sahlin, the game’s creative director about what is new for the sequel.
Sahlin explains how Unravel 2 is a much more platforming-focused experience compared to the first game. Also discussed were the changes to the visual aesthetic and how the yarn itself wraps around all aspects of the experience. Sahlin goes onto relay the importance of having two characters and how having two changes the team’s approach to level design. You can grab Unravel 2 right now for the PC (vis Origin), Xbox One, and PS4.
