At E3 today, Nintendo confirmed that the new Smash Bros. game for Nintendo Switch is called Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
In addition to the characters Nintendo teased in the initial reveal, the Nintendo Direct presentation confirmed today that every fighter from every Super Smash Bros. game will return – more than 60 in all.
Today’s presentation confirmed dozens of playable characters, including the return of Snake, Pichu, and more that haven’t been seen in the franchise in over a decade.
Director Masahiro Sakurai called Super Smash Bros. Ultimate “the biggest crossover in gaming history” and said it will streamline character unlocks to make players feel like they’re constantly being rewarded.
