At E3 today, Nintendo revealed Super Mario Party, a new game coming to Switch on October 5.
Super Mario Party will allow you to make two Switch tablets interact by placing them near each other. A new trailer showed off some crazy new multiplayer configurations, like laying two Switches on a table and having an object move from one to another, or setting up two systems back-to-back for interactive mini games.
Mini Games shown included a home run tournament, a tank game, cooking, a motion control-powered racing game, and more.
The technology powering Super Mario Party appears to be similar to a Nintendo patent for communication between displays that emerged earlier this year, though Nintendo didn’t offer any details during the presentation.
