Star Trek: Discovery showrunner and co-creator Alex Kurtzman and his production company Secret Hideout reportedly signed a 5-year deal with CBS Television Studios to create a myriad of Star Trek content, including four new shows set in the Star Trek universe.
As reported by Variety, Kurtzman will supervise the expansion of the Star Trek franchise in the form of a Starfleet Academy series, a limited series based around the “Wrath of Kahn” storyline, a second limited series that has yet to be disclosed and an animated series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the deal has been set at $25 million.
