Someone over at Valve needs to tighten up some of the leaky pipes because the Steam Summer Sale 2018 start date has allegedly been leaked online. PC gamers looking to add more games to their backlog of titles they’ll never play have only a short time before it all kicks off.
Steam Summer Sale 2018 Dates
Revealed by none other than Steam Database, the Steam Sumer Sale 2018 is rumored to start on June 21, according to a very simple tweet by the company. That makes the start of the sale a Thursday, leading into a full weekend of discounts and game purchasing.

While no information is confirmed or revealed about the start date or end date, based on the previous sales, it’s safe to assume that the Steam Summer Sale 2018 will run for two weeks. This means gamers will have from June 21 until sometime in early July to get a whole lot of games at a discounted price.
One point worth mentioning is that the Steam Summer Sale has, in recent years, altered the way it delivers discounts. All games now receive their full discount at the very onset of the sale, with no Flash Sales occurring throughout the event. While this does remove some of the mystery and excitement over what games might receive a greater discount, it means that gamers won’t be missing out on any incredible deals if they can’t get to the Steam store in time.
Though the start date of the Steam Summer Sale 2018 hasn’t been officially commented on by Valve, there’s a good chance it will in fact be beginning this Thursday, June 21, and wrap up sometime in July.
