Steam’s new Creator Homepages feature has entered open beta, with a selection of different options to allow publishers and developers to customize their homepages on the platform. This way, publishers can show off their titles however they wish on their own page, splitting things up by genre, name, best-sellers, or anything their hearts desire. This will make it a lot easier to showcase particular collections of games and curate pages that publishers and developers are proud of. It also makes things a whole lot neater.

The space can also be utilizes to announce new projects, show off artwork or other aspects of upcoming titles, and allow fans to follow their favorite companies when new updates and announcements come down the pipeline. As many games use their space on Steam to publish blogs and updates as it is, these new improvements should make things even easier going forward.

Of course, it’s important to keep in mind that the feature is still very much in open beta, and as such there will likely be various bugs and glitches to contend with as Valve works out some issues. It’s decided, however, that the tool’s basic functionality is worth it at this point to offer to players and creators. Valve will be monitoring the feature in the coming days as it looks for feedback from both users and publishers going forward, and will work to correct them as well.
