ABC has officially picked up the Roseanne spinoff, which is currently using the working title of “The Conners,” IGN has confirmed.
The spinoff will feature every member of the Roseanne revival except its titular star, Roseanne Barr, whose racist tweet resulted in the show’s cancellation last month. John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Lecy Goranson (Becky) and Michael Fishman (D.J.), will all reprise their roles, and the show is expected to take over the 8 p.m. Tuesday timeslot that Roseanne Season 11 was scheduled to occupy this fall.
ABC emphasized that Barr will have no creative or financial involvement in the spinoff, which has been given a straight-to-series order for 10 episodes.
