With how incredibly detailed that Resident Evil 2 remake is looking, I figured the system requirements on PC would be a lot more demanding. Turns out my five-year-old machine is still quite capable and should be able to max out the game at 1080p. In the wake of the summer sale, the Steam storefront page for the game has been updated to include the specs and they really aren’t bad.

The recommended setup does call for a GTX 1060 or RX 480, but you can grab those for under $300 if you look in the right place. The processor requirement is only a third generation Intel chip or an AMD FX-5950. While the former goes for a stupid amount still (like $380), the later will run you roughly $90 and even has future proofing on its AM3+ socket (which can run the newer Ryzen chipsets).
