EVO 2018 is set to hit the Las Vegas Strip in less than a month, but earlier this year, the biggest fighting game tournament in the world debuted in Japan. Just ahead of the American tournament, the Evo organizers announced that EVO Japan will be back for 2019 and now has a weekend set.

EVO Japan 2019 will take place in Fukuoka, Japan. The tournament is set to run from February 15-17. There are no details beyond that, but look for more information to come during EVO 2018, which is set to run from August 3-5.
The first EVO Japan debuted in January from Sunshine City and Akiba Square in Tokyo, drawing an audience of over 13,000 attendees. Over 10 million unique viewers tuned in via different streaming outlets, including Twitch.
