Back in May, Blizzard released a pair of Mercy-themed items to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Players could show their support by picking up a $14.99 in-game skin for Mercy, as well as a $30 Pink Mercy T-shirt from Blizzard’s official store – with all proceeds going directly to the foundation. Today, the studio has revealed how much they were able to raise, thanks to player contributions.
According to Blizzard, the promotion raised more than $12.7 million for the foundation, making it the largest ever corporate contribution to the group. Twitch donations during the charity drive raised an additional $130,000, too.
