We’re now in an era where games are confirmed, dated, and even sized-up in weeks. While we still get plenty of vague release windows (or no windows at all) from publishers, Nintendo pretty much gave us the bulk of the data upfront with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at E3 2018, with a few exceptions.
One of those provisos has to do with file sizes, which we’re now just getting courtesy of the game’s listing on the official Japanese landing page. Based on the storefront listing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will require “16 GB or more” of space, which is about half the size of a standard Switch without a micro SD card.
This is roughly inline with how big Smash 4 was on Wii U so it’s not a huge surprise — especially given that it includes every character from Smash history.
