Pokemon Go players have another Legendary Pokemon to contend with, as announced today during the official Pokemon Go Twitter account. Registeel is coming to battle, taking over from the Ice-type Legendary, Regice. The Steel-type Pokemon will be available for trainers to scuffle with until August 16, 2018, so make sure you don’t miss out on this new Pokemon that’s now part of the rotation!
Registeel is part of a trio of Legendary Pokemon that includes Regice and Regirock, so it looks like we might soon be seeing the Legendary Rock-type in the game next month, just to round things out. Pokemon Go continues to add a veritable bounty of Pokemon to its stores, but there’s still plenty of slots in the Pokedex missing. With that said, Niantic is doing its part to try and get it filled out the best that it can, with new features like trading and gifting added earlier this year.

It seems that the order monsters are added in is somewhat random, so we’re not sure what kind of Pokemon may be added into the mix yet, but it’s always good to stay vigilant, as you never know what you might be seeing next. We’re looking forward to the day when we can capture the entire Pokedex in-game, and while that’s still very far off, at least we’ve got these baby steps to tide us over until then!
