There’s a “gang of costumed nutjobs taking the city apart piece by piece.” It’s up to Spider-Man — costumed but not a nutjob — to save the day. It’s a story that’s as old as time, or at least as old as superhero comics.

Still, Spider-Man somehow looks more and more incredible every time we see it. This story trailer that just debuted at San Diego Comic-Con is no exception. It’s packed with characters, both costumed and not, who are all working toward their own benevolent or malevolent ends. At one point, Spidey gets called “an enemy of the people” even though we know that’s not how it really works.

Try to count all the different appearances in this single two-minute trailer. Then start counting down the days until Spider-Man‘s September 7 release. It’s so close and yet so far away.
