The Simpsons: Season 30 finally has a release date. As revealed at the show’s Comic-Con panel today, the series will return on (appropriately enough) September 30.
Creator Matt Groening, voice actress Tress MacNeille, director David Silverman and producer Al Jean were on-hand to reveal some tidbits about the new season. They screened a clip from an upcoming episode showing Homer gorging himself in New Orleans and then making use of a convenient vomitorium. Silverman explained that the show’s shift towards digital animation makes it easier for the animators to explore these non-Springfield settings.
The panel also showcased a new teaser poster for this year’s “Treehouse of Horror” special, one which looks to be geared towards spoofing movies like Jurassic World and Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
