Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was one of our best games of 2017 and was generally well received all around. Ninja Theory is keeping the game alive by making a personal journey even more so with a VR edition that releases at the end of July. It will be free to all that already own the game on Steam and is included with any new purchases.
“Truly Disturbing” is what was used as the subhead for the Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice review, where it scored a nine out of ten. It also earned Best Indie Game of 2017 from the Shacknews team.
Hellblade’s sound design is one of its most impressive features and VR experiences can be made or broken by the sound. The binary audio is utilized very well and will likely frighten a few people from under their virtual reality gear. We’ll find out if any HMDs are harmed when Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice comes to HTC Vive and Oculus Rift via Steam on July 31, 2018. Stay tuned to Shacknews for additional updates.
