Locke & Key, the TV adaptation of Joe Hill’s comic series of the same name, has officially been picked up by Netflix after Hulu decided to forego the project prior to green-lighting its first season.
As reported by Deadline, Netflix has secured a 10-episode order of the horror-fantasy drama. Though an initial pilot was shot and delivered to Hulu, that particular streaming service declined to air the pilot or sign off on a full season.
As we previously reported, Netflix won’t use the already-made pilot, instead opting to hire an entirely new cast and director. Carlton Cuse and author Joe Hill will now redevelop the show for Netflix, starting from scratch.
