Armed with the best reviews in Mission: Impossible franchise history (97% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes), Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout was expected to deliver the best opening weekend in franchise history, and it did just that. The film opened to $61.5 million domestic, with an additional $92 million from foreign territories for a worldwide debut of $153.5 million, with all three tallies representing new franchise records.
