Crackdown 3 is somewhat infamous for being delayed and delayed some more, but lead developer Sumo Digital is apparently very nearly done developing the core of Crackdown 3 at long last
Sumo Managing Director Paul Porter said as much in a recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz. A fan of the original Crackdown, Porter also said he’s keen to avoid Crackdown 2’s failings.
“My experience of Crackdown is probably similar to a lot of other people’s,” he said. “I played the first one to death – played it in co-op, collected all the orbs. After a couple of hours of playing Crackdown 2 I wanted to throw my controller at the TV, and I was really quite sad. That’s definitely not the route that’s been taken with Crackdown 3.”
