Persona Q2, the sequel to the Etrian Odyssey-based Persona crossover game Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, has been missing in action since its announcement last August. Fans have been asking Atlus for more information on what might be one of the last major 3DS games, but the developer has stayed quiet, until now.
During this weekend’s episode of the Persona 5 anime, Atlus will be airing a TV spot for the game during the August 4 episode of the anime, including the Japanese release date.
The original Persona Q brought together the casts of Persona 3 and Persona 4 into a dungeon crawler based on the gameplay of Etrian Odyssey. Presumably Q2 will bring Persona 5 into the mix, too, especially considering the game’s logo is the same flaming hat emblem of the Phantom Thieves. While the game has only been announced on 3DS, some digging in the website metadata suggested a Switch version, as well, but Atlus has not announced anything of the sort.
