Sony appears to be moving forward with its Kraven the Hunter movie, as the company is reportedly in the process of hiring a writer to pen the Spider-Man villain movie.
According to Collider, Sony is bringing on The Equalizer 2 scribe Richard Wenk to write the script. In addition to both Equalizer movies, Wenk’s writing credits include The Expendables 2, The Mechanic, and 2016’s The Magnificent Seven.
Kraven the Hunter
As noted by Collider, a 2017 report published by The Hollywood Reporter previously outed the possibility of a Kraven-led film. The villain, also known as Sergei Kravinoff, is a notorious big game hunter who sees Spider-Man as the ultimate catch. However, Kraven, who’s never appeared in a live-action film, will have to hunt a different nemesis, as the film won’t be part of Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man deal.
