The wonderful Okami HD comes out on Nintendo Switch on 9th August – and there’s a brand new official vinyl box set to go along with it.
Data Discs, which has form when it comes to vinyl releases of video game soundtracks, has put together a £64.99 quadruple LP box set made up of over two hours of newly remastered music. It’s packaged in a spot-varnished hardboard slipcase and comes with a 40-page artbook and a double-sided lithographic print, featuring original illustrations from the Capcom archives in Japan. (You also get a download code for the album in both lossless and lossy formats.)
“Originally released in 2006 and composed by Masami Ueda, Hiroshi Yamaguchi, Rei Kondoh and Akari Groves, the music of Okami perfectly embodies the creative beauty of the game and its recurring themes of restoration and resolve,” Data Discs said.
