Bethesda is officially gaining a new studio in Dallas, Texas.
Announced during the QuakeCon 2018 keynote, Dallas-based Escalation Studios, which was officially acquired by Bethesda’s parent company ZeniMax Media in 2017, is now officially Bethesda Game Studios Dallas.
Bethesda confirmed that the Dallas studio is busy working on the upcoming Starfield title, as well as the mobile game Elder Scrolls: Blades. It’s unclear exactly what the Dallas studio will be contributing to both titles, but as Escalation Studios, it co-developed the SnapMap feature alongside id Software for Doom (2016).
