Straight ‘outta Gamescom, Bandai Namco announced today something we all saw coming eventually: a Dark Souls Trilogy set.
Launching for PS4 and Xbox One only it’ll be a three-disc set for $80, launching on October 19 with a steelbook case. In case you were wondering yep, the original will be the new Remastered edition and the other two will include all DLC (three packs for Dark Souls 2, two for Dark Souls III). All three games are worth playing and this set does equal out to the rough MSRP of Remastered ($40), Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin ($20) and Dark Souls III: The Fire Fades Edition ($20): so it’s not a bad deal, especially for collectors.
Bandai Namco is claiming that the set will be “limited in numbers” across the Americas which could very well be a pre-order tactic, or a very real statement. If you recall Japan got a really different box set earlier this year that was roughly $450.
