AMC has released 12 new photos from The Walking Dead Season 9, and the first look images offer a few tantalizing clues about what to expect from the upcoming episodes, which will say farewell to Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes and Lauren Cohan’s Maggie Rhee.
We still don’t know how Rick and Maggie will exit the show (while we think it would make sense for Rick to die, Cohan has expressed interest in potentially returning, depending on scheduling for her ABC dramedy Whiskey Cavalier), but the Season 8 finale set up a potential conflict between the two characters after Rick decided to spare Negan’s life, despite Maggie’s desire for vengeance after the bat-wielding psychopath killed her husband, Glenn.
