Dream Daddy, a visual novel/dating sim released last year and published by Game Grumps, is getting a comic adaptation with the first issue out today.
The concept of the game is simple: be a dad and date other dads. You can find our review of the game here. The five-issue comic adaptation published by Oni Press focuses on five of the characters from the game and the interpersonal relationships that shaped the game.
Each issue focuses on one of the five dads, with the first issue putting the spotlight on Craig Cahn, the exercise-oriented gym rat, joining the protagonist at a college reunion. Titled Much Abird About Nothing, the first issue is available now on Comixology, iTunes, the Google Play Store, and Amazon’s digital store. It will also be available on Steam later today and physical versions are being sold through Oni Press’ website.
You can check out a few sample pages below.
The goth dad Damien headlines the next issue on September 26, followed by Mat, Brian, and Joseph afterward. In December, the final issue with Hugo will release, ending the five-issue run. Dream Daddy released last July on PC.
