Fans of Yooka-Laylee, the Playtonic platformer that deliberately invokes the Nintendo 64 era of 3D platforming, can start looking forward to a physical release of the game from Limited Run Gaming. That name is especially true this time, as the Collector’s Edition comes with a limited edition cart for backers, but only 3,000 of them.

The collector’s edition runs for $75 and Kickstarter backers who backed at the 64-bit tier get the cart along with a discount on the game. A normal retail edition will be out later this year for $49.99.
While the N64 cart is merely decorative, Playtonic is working on a N64-style mode for the game that makes it look like the lower-poly and blurrier games for the system, hoping to hit nostalgia chords for fans of the late 90s platformers that inspired Yooka-Laylee and are included in its development heritage.
