Burt Reynolds, the star of films such as Smokey and the Bandit, Deliverance, and The Longest Yard has died at the age of 82, according to THR.
Confirmed by his manager, Erik Kritzer to THR, Reynolds died Thursday morning at Jupiter Medical Center in Florida.
Reynolds began his acting careers in television on multiple westerns and police shows before jumping into action movies in the 1970s and 1980s. He was known for choosing his roles based on how fun they seemed to be, and later regretted not taking on challenging roles, as he wrote in his memoir, But Enough About Me.
