In the latest monthly developer diary for the upcoming Forza Horizon 4, developer PlayGround Games introduced a crossover with Microsoft’s preeminent shooter franchise for the open-world racing game. Who says Mario gets to be the only mascot that takes to the road?

While simply adding the Warthog, Halo’s most famous utility vehicle, would have probably satiated fans, PlayGround really went above and beyond with the massive amount of Halo content added.

The Halo-themed skybox sits above you while Cortana chats your ear off about the banshees pursuing you and flying around while you drive. The race, much like the races against planes and boats from the Forza Horizon game, pits your Warthog against a Pelican gunship.

Your avatar becomes Master Chief in this mission, which I’m really hoping also carries over to the main game.

Forza Horizon 4 releases on Xbox One and PC on October 2.
