Gone Home released a few days ago on Switch, marking the first time the game has ever appeared on Nintendo consoles. While it’s not surprising the game ended up on Switch, there turned out to be a bonus benefit to it, as well. In the game’s release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, the player could find offbrand SNES cartridges in a bedroom featuring fake game titles.
The fake SNES games were created by guest artists and included titles like Adventurous the Cat to sort of sub in as representative of the SNES era of video games. With the Switch port, however, developer Fullbright actually managed to get permission from Nintendo to use real SNES games to in this version. They were found by twitter user @liamdohertee and confirmed by Fullbright’s Steve Gaynor today.
Hey, you noticed 😉 Thanks, @NintendoAmerica for being so cool about letting us include these in the Switch version of Gone Home ✌️💖🎮 https://t.co/ziZEnhjupE

From the pictures @liamdohertee took, it appears the the three hypothetical games became Super Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Donkey Kong Country, which is a damn good statistical guess for games everyone would have had.
Gone Home is currently available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch.
