In an unsurprising move, the trailer for the next Soulcalibur VI character has been leaked online. Cervantes, who first appeared as a moveset in a previous video, then showed up at a tournament when the wrong build was used, has now had his trailer unofficially launched online.
The classic Soulcalibur villain returns to the Stage of History with his trademark two-sword fighting style and a creepy ghostly visual aesthetic. The original antagonist of Soul Edge, Cervantes is a moral-free monster, a whispered tale of the seas, gathering the souls of all and sundry in efforts to retain his own existence.
As you can see from the trailer, Cervantes is surprisingly agile for an undead pirate warrior. Vicious in close-up combat, he is also not adverse to bringing a gun to a knife-fight. Cervantes was one of the few remaining veterans yet to arrive on the SCVI roster, which is now approaching completion.
Soulcalibur VI launches on October 19 for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
