DrDisRespect, a well-known streamer on Twitch and the winner of last year’s Trending Gamer award at The Game Awards, ended a live stream today with a rather cryptic message.

“I’ve got to end the broadcast right now, someone shot at our house,” says the streamer, whose real name is Guy Beahm. Beahm mentions that the shot broke an upstairs window, adding “this is the second shot, someone shot yesterday, at our f—ing house and someone shot again right now connected with the house upstairs.”

You can see the clip of Beahm abruptly ending the broadcast below (warning for strong language).

We talked to the California sheriff’s office in the area where the alleged shooting occurred and were asked not to confirm the residence’s location. We were told that a report had been filed about this incident, although they would not confirm the identity of anyone involved. Authorities were investigating the matter and confirmed that someone matching Beahm’s description called the police after hearing shots fired.

Beahm himself has not commented since the stream, though the clip has widely circulated on social media since. He has often mentioned his family being nearby when he streamed.
