Treyarch and Activision opened the beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout yesterday and immediately received a flood of negative feedback about how items are picked up. Treyarch has heard its players loud and clear, though, and will make changes to the battle royale mode before the final game launches.
The way things currently work, Blackout players have to aim precisely at items like ammo and weapons and then press and then hold a button to pick them up. Various players have complained that this mechanic feels clunky and unintuitive, slowing them down and leaving them vulnerable to being eliminated. Posting on Reddit, Treyarch outlined its plans to smooth things over some.
