X-Men: Apocalypse director, Bryan Singer is reportedly in negotiations to direct Millennium’s Red Sonja, according to THR.
Singer would helm the adaptation of the 1970’s Conan the Barbarian comic spinoff, while writer of X-Men: First Class, Ashley Miller will take on the screenplay.
Millennium is producing the new Sonja movie and hopes to create a franchise from the audience that is connected to Wonder Woman.
They have had a Sonja film in the works since 2008, at the time with Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan who made an announcement at that year’s Comic-Con. Writers have been coming and leaving the project ever since.
