Star Wars: The Clone Wars gave us some of the finest stories in the overarching mythology of the Star Wars saga. Overseen via the guidance and wisdom of the ultimate Jedi Master, George Lucas, a burgeoning storyteller by the name of Dave Filoni took Lucasfilm Animation to a whole new level. And while the feature film (which was actually four episodes edited together) debuted first in theaters, “Ambush” was the first episode to air. It was not the first chronologically in terms of story (the actual chronological order can be found here), but it is certainly a microcosm for essential key moments that showcase the brilliance of this animated series. This includes illustrating the paradox of the Jedi and how they were destined to fall, Yoda’s awesomeness, the importance of the Clones as actual characters, and much more.
