Sega’s Mega Drive Mini console has been delayed into 2019, according to a tweet by Sega’s Japanese Twitter account. The Mega Drive Mini was originally planned to release in Japan this year.
The good news for classic Sega fans is that the response to the retro console’s announcement earlier this year has been strong enough that Sega is now also bringing versions of it to the United States and Europe. All three regions will get the console, which will be called the Sega Genesis Mini in the U.S., at the same time thanks to a worldwide launch.
