Producers of the next 007 film just announced that Cary Fukunaga will be directing Daniel Craig in the next installment of the James Bond franchise. Credited with directing such renowned projects as the critically-acclaimed Beasts of No Nation, first season of True Detective and upcoming Netflix series Maniac, Fukunaga becomes the first American-born director to helm a Bond film.

Fukunaga’s choice as director comes after director Danny Boyle dropped out of the project in August over creative differences.

The 25th film in the legendary series, (currently dubbed Bond 25) this will be the final installment to star Daniel Craig as the suave, British spy based on Craig’s existing contract. Bond 25 is set to release February 14, 2020 with filming beginning this March.
