Shadow of the Tomb Raider has an official ending with playful nods to the original games in the series, but an ending that wasn’t supposed to be in the game was mistakenly included in the launch version of the title.

As reported by Kotaku, the day-one patch for Shadow of the Tomb Raider actually included the proper ending of the game, which most players who have beaten the campaign have seen. In this post-credits scene, Lara is sitting at a desk at Croft Manor, with the camera panning over various items and artifacts from the latest trilogy of Tomb Raider games.
