My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, the first feature film based on the popular My Hero Academia franchise, has had a strong opening at the domestic box office, despite its limited release.
According to Funimation, the film raked in nearly $2 million at the domestic box office during the first two days of its limited five-day run. This limited run began on September 25 in just over 500 theaters across North America.
The film can still be seen in theaters with its English dub on September 27 and on September 29, and in Japanese with English subtitles on October 2. Because of its current success, many theaters are adding showtimes on September 28 and September 30 in select locations. Two Heroes has reportedly earned over $13 million during its Japanese run.
