Much like the first season of Nic Pizzolatto’s crime drama, the new season will play out over multiple time periods, with the first teaser trailer for Season 3 showing Ali as both a young detective and a grey-haired old man. The first season starred Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, while Season 2 starred Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch and Kelly Reilly. Season 2 debuted in 2015, leaving a three-year gap between installments.
