Analogue has announced the Mega Sg, a 1080p console that is “compatible with the “2,180+ Sega Genesis, Mega Drive and Master System game cartridge library” and does not use emulation.

The Mega Sg has been engineered with FPGA (field programmable gate array), which is different from the “Classic” line of consoles like the Super NES Classic or NES Classic, and allows you to play on a console that has reproduced what the originals did and supports cartridges without using emulation to simulate the experience.
