New information on the Marvel-themed area at Disney California Adventure has been revealed, including details on attractions, restaurants and stores.
As reported by WDW News Today, construction on the first phase of these Marvel attractions is well underway, with “Stark Industry” fences blocking off multiple area that are currently undergoing renovations. The central hub of the Marvel-centric area is expected to be a large Avengers symbol surrounded by the various Marvel attractions.
Following A Bug’s Land’s closure in September to make room for the Marvel area, the “It’s Tough to Be A Bug” theater is reportedly being repurposed into a new Spider-Man attraction where guests are given a web-shooter apparatus to use in the ride. Rumors suggest it will be primarily screen-based, like Toy Story Midway Mania. A Doctor Strange live show is expected to take place in a nearby courtyard, and will likely be similar to a stage show offered on the Disney Cruise Line.
