The Walking Dead’s ratings received a slight boost with this weekend’s episode featuring the exit of Rick Grimes, though not by a large margin.

As reported by Deadline, the episode “What Comes After” reached an audience of 5.4 million viewers and netted a 2.1 rating for adults 19-49. It’s a six percent increase in viewers from the 5.1 million that tuned in for the previous episode, “The Obliged.” Viewership for Season 9 of The Walking Dead has been modestly rising since ratings saw a sharp decline with the second episode’s 4.95 million viewers following Season 9’s relatively disappointing premiere viewership of 6.08 million.
