Retro PS3 collection R-Type Dimensions will be returning later this month on PC and Nintendo Switch as R-Type Dimensions EX. The title includes Irem’s classic coin-ops R-Type and R-Type II, complete with some new features.
All of the fast-firing shmup stages from both original titles are included, and players can switch between the original audio/visual style or a new, revamped aesthetic. Also included – no doubt for those who can’t take the heat of the mighty Bydo Empire – are options for infinite lives and a stage select, as well as a slowdown option, which would’ve saved me a ton of 10p coins back in 1987.
R-Type Dimensions EX launches on PC and Nintendo Switch eShop November 28, priced at around $12.
